Not for sale but hey it’s a hoverboard
Marty McFly would be proud. Lexus collaborated with some of world’s leading experts in super conductive technology, creating a working hoverboard in a creative breakthrough for the fourth project in the Lexus ‘Amazing in Motion’ campaign.
So how does it work? Using magnetic levitation to achieve frictionless movement and liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets (obviously), the Lexus Hoverboard actually hovers – like, the way you’d imagine it would. Check out the video:
Unfortunately, this prototype hoverboard won’t be sold anywhere so don’t get your hopes up. But the board will see further testing in Barcelona, Spain in the coming weeks. Time to book that ticket to Europe, so bring your binoculars, you creep.
