575-hp F-Type inspired by the classic D-Type racer and ready for production
The F-Type Project 7 is confirmed for production, Jaguar recently announced. The automaker will be debuting a production version of the new performance-driven F-Type at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the car that inspired the new Project 7…the Jaguar D-type racer, seen in below photos.
Powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine, the F-Type Project 7 delivers 575-hp, propelling to 60mph in 3.8-sec (0-100 km/h in 3.9-sec). Standard features include carbon-fiber aerodynamic components, a unique suspension tune, Carbon Ceramic brakes, and Torque Vectoring by Braking. The new F-Type Project 7 also features a foldable cloth top (can be removed and stowed).
Customer deliveries of the F-Type Project 7 begin mid-2015.
