Ram’s 575-hp Rebel TRX Concept Hails as the Most Powerful Half-Ton Pickup Ever

Ram is known as a leader of off-road pickups, but with the debut of their Rebel TRX Concept fitted with the insane 6.2L HEMI V8 producing 575-hp, the truck maker has just created the most powerful factory-engineered half-ton pickup ever. The supercharged engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 Performance Control System and paddle-shifters. To keep up with the tough terrain, the front and rear axles feature severe-duty components, plus more than 13 inches of wheel travel at all four corners, an increase of more than 40 percent. 

With menacing looks, the Rebel TRX Concept shares design elements with the Power Wagon and Rebel with a unique RAM front grille and steel bumpers; six inches wider than the standard Ram 1500, a rugged body design, and huge fender wells clear aggressive 37-inch tires. Trucks today are following this trend of more aggressive styling with lush cabin environments – the Ram Rebel TRX Concept is certainly one of them, in our minds, in the top five of the best.
