In our opinion, the best off road SUV is totally obnoxious, has horrible fuel economy, and rolls on wheels larger than your kitchen table. Why feel this way? Why not – it’s fun. And performance shops like Starwood Motors and Terradyne make this all possible, converting luxury utility vehicles into relatively shameless off-road warriors. And we’re ok with that. Even automakers like Hyundai and Toyota are getting into the mix, though to a lesser extent. Whether traversing mountains, exploring glaciers in a Superjeep or simply camping with the family, the popular sport-utility is taking on a new role, pushing the limits while redefining the term utility. And 2015 was a good year of stellar off-road adventurers.
